CAMP DIRECTORS COTTAGE NAMED IN HONOR
OF
CHANTREY & AYNSLEY FRITTS
On Thursday, October 11th, 2007, Jeremiah's Hope held its annual "A
Night for the Children of Ukraine" fundraising dinner in Abilene, Texas.
This year, funds raised at the dinner were pledged towards the
construction of two of the first buildings to built on the new Christian
camp in Ivankiv, Ukraine.
Construction will begin on the camp in the spring of 2008. The
first phase is to build a Main Lodge (including dining hall, kitchen,
laundry, bathrooms, bunk rooms and a meeting room) along with a Directors
Cottage so that camp directors can live on site. The organization is
currently trying to raise $90,000 to complete these two projects.
During the dinner, it was announced by Andrew Kelly, Executive
Director, that the Camp Directors cottage, which is estimated to cost
$30,000, would be named in honor of Chantrey and Aynsley Fritts.
Chantrey and Aynsley were chosen due to their amazing committment to
the ministry of Jeremiah's Hope. Since Andrew Kelly first traveled
to Ukraine in June of 1996, the Fritts have assisted with his travels and
expenses as he has worked in camps and orphanages teaching the Bible.
Then, when Andrew moved to Ukraine, the Fritts have continued to support
and encourage him through regular e-mails, telephone calls and instant
message conversations. They are prayers warriors for the work and
for the children and Aynsley serves as a board member of Jeremiah's Hope.
