HOPE HOUSE
...a Place to Call Home
Jeremiah's Hope is a ministry dedicated to helping orphans
transition from dependent living (orphanage) to independent living.
For many years, we have envisioned a ministry that will allow us to walk
with the children through three phases of their lives. We seek to
minister to them during 1) their years living at the orphanage, 2) their
times living in the transitional living center and 3) as they begin their
adult lives and begin work.
For two years, Jeremiah's Hope has operated a transitional
living center. During that time, 13 teenagers have lived in the TLC
and benefited from the mentoring which takes place at home while they
receive their education at local trade and technical schools. This
June, 5 of those teens will graduate trade school and will begin working
or attending higher education.
It has been our dream to develop a small network of
"Independent Living Centers" for graduates of the transitional living
center to move into after leaving the TLC. These would be apartments
set up to give the tens a place to live for one year while they find jobs,
explore housing options and begin their adult lives.
We believe this is a great opportunity for you to continue to
play an active role in their lives and be a resource for them to turn to
during those first few months of living on their own.
In early June 2006, Jeremiah's Hope will purchase a two room
apartment located just one block from our office and transitional living
center in Mariupol. Funds for the purchase of this apartment have
been made available through donations at our Abilene, TX fundraising
dinner (Dec. 05), individuals and by Hope International Adoption.
HOPE HOUSE will open in August and will house 2 of this years graduates.
If you would like to assist with HOPE HOUSE, we are in need
of $2,000 for furniture and fresh wallpaper/paint. If you would like
to make a contribution, please give online using our partner JustGive.org.
