Tetyana Petrovna Burak
Tanya joined our staff in September of 2004. She serves as the
Assistant Director. Her role includes serving as Educational Liaison
and Guardian for the children living at the Transitional Living Center.
Tanya served as an Assistant Principal of a local elementary school and
English teacher before traveling to the United States where she earned a
Masters degree in Education from the University of Nebraska - Omaha.
Her hard work and dedication to the children is amazing!
Arthur Kasaryan
Arthur
joined the staff of Jeremiah's Hope in January of 2003. He has served in many
capacities. He assists Steve with translation on visits to the orphanages, helps
gather supplies and organizes transportation for humanitarian aid deliveries.
His contribution to the ministry of Jeremiah's Hope has been invaluable.
He has helped to bridge the gap that is caused by language and culture.
Andrew
Kelly
Andrew serves as the Director of Jeremiah's Hope. He is dedicated
to finding a solution to the problem orphanage graduates face after the
completion of their many years in institutional settings. Many
orphaned children at the age of 16 are on their own without the skills to
survive. Andrew hopes to help solve that problem for a few orphans
by developing Transitional Living Centers and ministries which will help
meet their needs.
Dmitry Grischuk
Dema serves as the Orphanage Program
Director. Dema studied at the Ukrainian Biblical Institute. Since
graduating in 2000, he has served as evangelist in several congregations of the
Church of Christ: Donetsk, Artyomovsk and Konstantinovka. Presently, Dema serves
the Lord and the Church in Avdeyevka. Since 2003, he has been enrolled as a
student at Donetsk Institute of Social Education where he is working on a degree
in “Elementary Education and Psychology”. He has been involved in the
lives of orphans in Donetsk since 2001, when he had the opportunity to serve on
one of the World Wide Youth Camps teams working in Ukraine.
Caroline
McMahon
Caroline first came to Ukraine during the summer of 2000. She
worked as a part of a World Wide Youth Camps team teaching Bible lessons
in a camp designed specifically to meet the needs of orphans throughout
the Donetsk region of Ukraine. Three years later, she again returned
to Ukraine to participate in the "Christmas for Kids" campaign, coordinate
by Jeremiah's Hope. Caroline moved to Mariupol in March of 2005 to
serve as one of the female house parents at the Transitional Living
Center. She is also involved in outreach to children still living in
orphanages.
Steve Taliaferro
Steve
moved to Ukraine at the end of December 2002 to begin full time work with the
orphans in the Donetsk region of Ukraine. Since that time, he has studied and
began to understand the Russian language, the Ukrainian culture, and the actual
workings of the orphanages in the region. He has established relationships with
many of the children, as well as local Christians and government officials.
It is through hard work and a great love that Steve works tirelessly to find
these orphans a sense of belonging in the kingdom of God.
