Progress Being Made on Renovation of "Transitional Living Center" January 18th, 2004
It has been a year since God first started setting
in motion the events that have occured to bring the "Transitional Living
Center" to where it is today. A dream that has been in the back of some of
our minds for years, began being formulated a year ago and today is well under
construction.
For months, we have prayed that God would bring this
facility into existence and He has shown His power over and over again. In 12
short months, he has provided a facility, the funds to renovate, commitments
for child sponsorship funding and He is already beginning to provide funding
for the furniture.
I have just returned from Mariupol where I was able
to spend some time visiting with Tim Burow, the missionary dealing with the
renovations, and he and I really enjoyed our time going through the facility
and imagining what all would take place once the kids were living there. I
was also able to visit with the 9th graders at the orphanage in Mariupol and
hear them speak of their dreams and intentions following their graduation from
the orphanage at the end of May. Pray for these kids...not all of them can
live at the center, but pray that God will bless each of their lives. Pray
also for Tim and I as we begin the process of inviting children to come and
live at the center. Pray that God would show us which children to invite.
Pray also as I begin Phase #2 of the fundraising to raise $5,000 for the
furniture/dishes/etc. for the center. Pray that God brings those funds
quickly.
