Today, Andrew Kelly spoke to over 300 high school students at Redlands College during their morning assembly. Andrew shared briefly about Jeremiah’s Hope and told the story of Alyona, a 19 year old girl who was rescued by Jeremiah’s Hope in 2012 and lived in the Rescue Shelter and now is an assistant staff person in the Rescue Shelter. Using her story of redemption and transformation, Andrew encouraged the students to “Change the World” by sharing their faith story and how God has brought them through whatever trials and joys to tell their story of Gods love for them!
In late June of 2014, a team of 14 students and 3 faculty members will travel to Ukraine to serve at our camp for two weeks. Redlands College is a private Christian school located in Brisbane, Australia and has been a partner of Jeremiah’s Hope for the past 4 years. For three years in a row, the school has sponsored a mission trip to Ukraine for its high school students and several faculty sponsors. The annual trip continues to grow in size and popularity! For 2014, there were over 52 students who expressed interest in the 14 slots on the mission team.
