For years, Jeremiah's Hope has dreamed of a church in the village of Kolentsi. We have prayed and believed that God would one day raise up someone who would come alongside us and plant a church, thus allowing our ministry to continue serving the families in our community. The board and staff of Jeremiah's Hope believes that a healthy and vital church would be best planted by Ukrainian nationals.
In January of 2018, a team of 12 Ukrainian nationals spent two days going door to door in the village and sharing the message of the birth of Jesus with our neighbors. After two days of evangelism, FIFTY villagers (plus the church planting team and the Jeremiah's Hope ministry team) gathered on January 9th for worship and to hear the message of HOPE!
During the first three gatherings of the new church plant, which is meeting on the Jeremiah's Hope camp property in our main lodge, more than thirty villagers are coming on a consistent basis. In addition to worship, there are eight ladies in the village who have requested to have a "Ladies Bible Study" on Wednesday evenings when their children attend our weekly Kids Bible Club.
We cannot help but sit here with tears in our eyes as our community and neighbors experience the community of fellowship with God's people! Please keep Hope Church in your prayers!
